2004 Indianapolis Alternative Media Festival

"Uniting to Take Back Our Media" was the theme of the 2004 Indianapolis Alternative Media Festival, held at the University of Indianapolis on July 31, 2004. George Stoney, cofounder of the Alternative Media Center in New York City and Paulette Goddard Professor of Film and TV at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, was the keynote speaker and conducted a hands-on video production workshop and screened his new film, GETTING OUT. The 2004 festival was expanded to included "The Director's Cut" reception at the Wheeler Arts Community, screenings of local films and videos, the Media that Matters Film Festival, and a variety of workshops on community-media related issues.
