The purpose of the festival is to strengthen our abilities to tell our own stories, and to learn ways we can work together to strengthen diverse and democratic media. This full-day of workshops and panel discussions will offer networking opportunities to support collaborative projects, and public screenings of grassroots videos and independent films.
We have established a variety of sponsorship and donor levels, up to the Platinum “Co-Sponsor” level, which include tickets to the “Director’s Cut Reception” on the evening of July 28th. This is an important time to support alternative and independent media. People around the world are developing alternative, community-based forms of communications from web logs to video collectives. People are creating their own media because the global, advertising-driven corporate media marginalize local culture, art, news and religion in the quest for the maximized shareholder value of “one world under the golden arches”. Thank you in advance for your support of Public Access of Indianapolis and our efforts to create and sustain community media in Indianapolis. |
