Mary Fox Olson of the Nuclear Information and Resource Center opened her talk with the idea that she could not think of "a more radical topic than to  assert that there is a future." Her message was not one of doom and cynical apathy but instead a call to action against the threat of nuclear war, and the hazard of nuclear waste.

Undeterred by a winter storm that battered the state with several inches of snow and brutally cold winds, Hoosier peacemakers gathered Saturday, Feb. 15, in Indianapolis, Bloomington, Muncie, Lafayette, Fort Wayne and South Bend as part of a worldwide show of support for diplomacy in dealing with Iraq.
