Audit finds Comcast owes $677k in back franchise fees Print E-mail

Settlement plan will make current Comcast subscribers pay an extra $304k to cover Comcast's underreporting of revenues.

The Indianapolis Cable Franchise Board voted 2-1 on Monday, March 15, 2004 to accept a settlement of $677k from Comcast for underpaid franchise fees.  Comcast's regional President Rusty Robertson noted Comcast's plan to "pass-through" some  $304k of the total as an additional assessment for current Comcast customers. Indianapolis Star as saying, "They were not forthcoming in reporting the revenues that they should have."
