The Song Inside Stone: Poetry of Indiana Places Print E-mail

Indiana Poet, Shari WagnerShari Wagner, Arts Council of Indianapolis Creative Renewal Fellow, takes listeners on a poetic tour of Indiana places and times, including:

  • An Amish farm at Shipshewana
  • Angel Mounds
  • The Antislavery Cemetery in Westfield
  • Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis
  • The "Rapture" of sand hill cranes at Goose Pasture Shades Park
  • The Tippecanoe Battlefield with Tecumseh
  • "Washington Street, Indianapolis at Dusk"
  • The West Baden Springs Hotel

The poetry reading was held at Carmel's Cool Creek Park Nature Center and afterwards, the audience was invited to explore Cool Creek's trails with a naturalist.
