Julia Vaughn of Common Cause of Indiana

On September 4th, a coalition of grassroots Indiana organizations held a press conference in front of an inflatable replica of the White House with a for sale sign. The objective of the press conference, held the day before President Bush arrived in Indianapolis for a $2000 per plate fund-raiser, was to highlight the connection between campaign contributions and harmful public policy. The White House backdrop was provided by Public Citizen and their campaign, White House For Sale ( www.whitehouseforsale.org).
